How long does a typical site survey and setup take?

Site surveys usually take around 30 minutes but can take over an hour depending on the complexity of the site. Setups typically take between 1 to 2 hours to complete, although times can vary depending on local conditions. Site Surveys with Setup are usually scheduled for a total of 2 1/2 hours.

Can I use my own wireless router?

Absolutely! Our internet service is compatible with all major brands of wireless routers. Just remember to contact support to let them know if you replace your router so that we can authorize it in our system.

Does SMART INTERNET have any usage caps or other restrictions on how much bandwidth I use every month?

No. Normal users have no restrictions on time or bandwidth. However, heavy users may be better served by our Commercial Grade service. See our Terms and Conditions for more information.

Can I change my speed once my service has been setup?

Yes. Just give us a call or stop by the office and let us know what speed you would like to be switched to.

What if I have trouble with my service?

If you experience any issues with your service, please contact us right away so we can resolve the problem quickly — we can’t fix what we don’t know exists!

If all the Smart internet customers are on the same network, does that mean other customers can access my computer or personal information?

No. The SPITwSPOTS network uses sophisticated encryption techniques, powerful firewalls, and other security techniques for all internal traffic!
